sorry, I did a bit of a cut a while back. I've added you back, but this means you must bring me... a poem! So, come on, whats your favorite poem?

Gosh, such a steep price to pay ;)

My favourite poem is Ovid's The Art of Love - for it's wit and timelessness.

Obviously I can't leave you the entire poem here, but I can give you one of my favourite verses:

Your first job, then, love's volunteer recruit,
Is to find the object of your pursuit;
Next comes the work of wooing and winning, and, last, ensuring
That the love you've won is enduring

Of course I love Bukowski too:

You asked me to check on your cat,
left me your keys, a note on the fridge,
canned cat food lined up the counter.

Me and your cat, we ignored the note, stayed up
late, watching infomercials instead. I let him bum a
smoke. We took turns, putting down your music, talking
about how you are completely helpless in the kitchen.

Halfway through the second beer, your cat admitted
he already missed your laugh. I admitted I did, too.
When he asked, I let him have my last cigarette.

So have seen a few recs and such for your rpf fic so was kinda hoping I could get a pity add? (pity cause I read wayyy to much fic and online stuff to be healthy).. Hmm.. So you said to think of literature and all I can think of are one liners from random books.... Not exactly high class literature!

I can say I created a dreamwidth acc just to do this shameless begging post.. Thats gotta count for something right? Ooh, and how about if you add me or invite or whatever I promise a poem of non snarky value?

Also my fave colour is green and I have a strange facination with stealing pens from random places. Cause random facts about strangers are fun!

Ok, im not gonna lie- I looked up a camel saddle holder on Google.... Impressive work on injury from that! I have a 7 scar on my hand from ironing... This is why I no longer iron.. Its a dangerous job.

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight,
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other,
One was blind and the other couldn't, see
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
A paralysed donkey passing by,
Kicked the blind man in the eye,
Knocked him through a nine inch wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all,
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came to arrest the two dead boys,
If you don't believe this story’s true,
Ask the blind man he saw it too!
